I didn’t know how the Portland Leapin’ Lizards would be compared to the location in Freeport, but I appreciated and liked it just the same! It’s much bigger than the Freeport locale so their stock is much more spread out and personally I think that makes it easier to visually digest (seriously, there’s a lot going on here!). The crystal/rock selection seemed more ample here, and they also had a wall dedicated to dried herbs. The staff was also super welcoming, friendly, and engaging. I had questions about crystals and their herbal counterpart, and one of the amazing women behind the counter spent some time going through a bunch of books with me to see if anything might reveal itself to us.Also, the prices make me so happy!When it comes to things like this, I’d much rather go somewhere that I can touch and smell the thing I’m buying (to see if it resonates with me), as opposed to doing it sight unseen. It helps when the staff is so obviously invested, interested, and educated in what they’re selling too!

I always have a lovely time coming in to the shop. Everyone is very sweet, very personable. I’ve never used any of their services, but even the last time I came in looking for a particular brand of incense, the lady behind the counter offered to track it down for me without my even asking. Leapin’ Lizards has a nice selection of new age goods. I visit the store every few months for a reading from Graham Connolly. He is there every Monday afternoon and his sessions are always informative and uplifting.

Tracy is very authentic. I was very curious as it was a spiritual modality that was unknown to me. Something drew me to ask her more about it and eventually sit down and have a reading. Tracy is the real deal! I went to a metaphysical fair and said to myself I wasnt going to have a reading unless someone really “spoke” to me. Had another reading with Brett. This time virtually over Zoom, and I have to say it was just as good as the first time. I was unsure how the experience would be as a second reading, but again, Brett has a true gift, and it was a wonderful experience. I was not a skeptic going into this, I was just hopeful that Brett would connect with the person that I needed him to. My experience with Brett was A+++I went in there with an open mind trying to connect with someone I lost almost 20 years ago. I booked the appointment myself but my wife decided to tag along. When we started the session he brought up relatives of my wife who are no longer with us by name, he was able to describe them physically and even some of their mannerisms. He also brought up things from her family that we were not even aware but we were able to confirm later with her mother. I went with my wife yesterday to visit Brett to possibly contact some relatives that have moved on. This was our first time doing anything like this and we were hopeful, yet skeptical.Brett is very warm and welcoming and blew us away with his abilities. He made contact with seven friends/relatives. He is an evidential medium, which means he uses evidence provided by those on the other side to prove that they are who they say they are. He gave us names, birthdates, professions, relationships, numbers of kids, details of the deceased’s last moments, new babies, descriptions of houses, etc. The personalities of each person shined through.We laughed, we cried and left with our hearts full of joy. She felt my energy from a missed phone call…(See attached image)She cannot tell you how long your session will be – she goes with what she can pull out of her a** for as long as she can. I paid $75 for 30 minutes. So full of it. Nothing she said about me, my family, or passed loved ones was true. Nothing she said resonated within me, especially for asking me so many questions and me giving her information that she should have known as a “psychic”. She said many things that were the furthest from the truth. I do believe there are people out there that have the ability to read energies, contact people on the other side, etc. But there are a lot more phonies that do it for the money. For me, she was one of the phonies. I feel sort of sorry for leaving such a negative review but I’m being completely honest. I read a few good reviews and saw 1 bad one on google where a woman said to keep your money. I thought I’d give it a shot regardless. Keep your money in your pocket.

Psychic? Pretty unsure. Definitely fraudulent. Save your money. Walked in, she said come back in 20. Came back in 20, she said come back in 30. Called another psychic in the meantime and she’s said she was closed a couldn’t think of another that was open that was good. *red flag*Flash forward, walked back and she said come back in 30 again expecting to be able to sit and wait. She said she was in the middle of a session. At that point I repeated how many times she asked us to come back. She said “I say that to people all day”. Frankly, I have no idea what that means. I said, with good reason, “aren’t you a psychic? Shouldn’t you know when we should come back?” Rude but deserved. She’s a fraud who upsells until the end comprising future clients which if you have any psychic experience you know means she’s not after truly sharing your reading. Phu phu.

I am not someone who typically gets massages. My husband and I spent a weekend in Portland, and I scheduled a prenatal massage with Renee. It was absolutely wonderful. Renee explained everything to me before getting started. The massage itself left me feeling so relaxed.The massage was such a good value at $69 for an hour plus tip. Plenty of parking on streets nearby.

I had a 90-minute massage with Cody and it was a great experience. He specializes in neuromuscular bodywork and has a very unique technique for neck and shoulders, which are my problem areas. I found it very effective and relaxing. I would recommend getting there a few minutes early because the initial time spent talking and getting situated is counted into the total massage time (plus he finished 5 minutes early).

I had an excellent massage from Bill Speed! He was knowledgeable and thorough. The level of pressure was great and he made sure to check in with me to see how I was doing. He offered some good insights and tips about problem areas. I live out of state but I would definitely make this a regular habit if I lived in Portland. I felt SO relaxed afterward. I like to get a massage every now & then. This was only my 3rd experience though. I had one complaint that my right shoulder blade had previously bothered me & I noticed a few knots on that shoulder. My masseuse recommended doing so armpit work because those muscles connect when using that shoulder. I feel like I have a high pain tolerance & I thought my muscles must be tight & need that pressure. The masseuse seemed knowledgeable. So we did armpit work for 30-40 mins on a 75 minute massage. I left feeling quite light and that muscles had been worked on. The next day I woke with horrible pain and a hematoma near my armpit. I’ve never experienced bruising in prior massages. I would be okay with bruising from a deep tissue massage if it were in the area of my complaint. I’m leaving this review by saying I still have knots in my right shoulder and a hematoma on my armpit.

Located near the rotary. Plenty of street parking in front.Staff was super friendly. I had Ashley for my prenatal massage. I’ve had many massages in the past, this being my first prenatal. I was worried that it was going to be weird because I didn’t want to lay on my stomach. They had the most comfortable pillow that allowed me to lay on my side. The massage was amazing. I left feeling so relaxed.Pricing? Super reasonable. $69 for 50 minutes.Facility? This is the only downside. Since it’s not a spa, the walls are pretty thin. I could hear people talking in the hallways and other rooms a bit. They do have music playing. Also the massage was so good I was distracted.I will for sure be back.

Right when you walk in to the place, you feel welcomed and peaceful. Nice decor and comfy chairs in the waiting area. Friendly and helpful staff. I booked my appoinment online and it was super easy. Harmony was my massage therapist and was wonderful.Just the right pressure! The rooms are clean and welcoming. The price is right too…only $59 for an hour of their Soma Blend (prices will go up to $69 in July, but still workth it). Plenty of on street parking right in front of the building. I cannot wait to book my next appointment.

Okay, so this was my first professional massage. Now that my confession is over, I can confess that it was AMAZING and I’m a moron for not doing this monthly at least. I found Soma easy to book an appointment, easy to find, easy to park, and quite affordable. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage from Alexandra that was therapeutic to say the least. I experienced a very painful back injury a few weeks ago and was still experiencing some level 3 pain (out of 10), when bending over, etc. When she was done, I was walking on clouds. She had found quite a few knots and tension in my muscles, and indicated I may be a little sore today. She was definitely right, and I must admit I was a little put off by that. Once I put my shoes on this morning, though, I understood. No pain!!! For the first time in a while I was able to pick something up off the floor without pain. I think they’ve got a great thing going there, and I hope they keep it up, because I’ll be a regular. Thanks Alexandra!

This is by far the BEST massage I have ever had. Before moving to Austin I had tried (or was pretty damn close to) nearly every spa and massage therapy location in southern Maine. Not only was the deep tissue massage itself relaxing and invigorating, but for an hour and a half it was only $89, you really can’t beat that. I went home after and passed out and slept like a hibernating bear the rest of the day.So when we come home to visit and I have a some spending money on me, I will definitely be making another appointment.

All I can say is she had me convinced from the first card (s) flipped. She said things so precise and dead on that I had no choice to believe what she was telling me. Very professional, and personable. Made us feel comfortable with the process and gave us plenty of opportunity to ask questions along the way.Can’t recommend her enough.

I love love this crystal shop! This place has everything including crystals, tarot cards, jewelry, and much more! They have yoga classes and tarot card readings. I got a 15 min tarot card reading done during Merry Madness and it was amazing. The store has a great vibe and everything is reasonably priced!

I came here for shopping one of the last times I was in Portland. I found the most beautiful pair of quartz crystal earrings. They are really nice quality. I found they are slightly too heavy to wear everyday, but where I have found them really helpful is I wear them when Im doing meditations or clearing my space or intention setting. I have LOVED how functional they turned out to be! The space of Arcana is really inviting and inspiring. I highly recommend it here. I am not from Portland, but love to visit! The people who work seemed to be really aware of the whats going on in the area. If you are new to the area, I would recommend you stop by here not only to experience Arcana, but also if your looking for recommendations of sites to see in the area that might resonate. Oh, hello pretty crystals.Oh, hello boho-inspired jewelry.Oh, hello locally made botanicals.I don’t know why I’ve never been here before; I’ve been following them for years on social media, always mesmerized at their collection of healing natural items. I know they also do yoga and massage and other workshops, but I’ve only stopped in for a super cool acorn necklace for a gift for someone (though I do wish they came in assorted chain lengths; I ended up buying a longer chain so it would hang lower) and an iridescent sticker that says “Grateful As F*ck” which IDKW entertains me endlessly. Found some crystals here I hadn’t seen at other similar shops nearby, so am excited to explore more!

I was in desperate need of some work on my tight neck and shoulders, and I had an AMAZING 90-minute massage with Hayley today. She truly worked magic on me. She took plenty of time on my tight areas and I could feel my muscles releasing as she worked. I will definitely be back here again!

Arcana is an awesome shop and yoga center. The teachers are highly qualified and at the same time down to earth. Classes are carefully constructed, affordable, and leave you feeling at ease. I would recommend trying as many classes as you can – I’ve gone to almost all of them and done the yoga teacher training. It was deeply life changing. Even if you’re in town briefly, the community is welcoming and fun – at my very first time there I knew I wanted to come back. I’ve been luck enough to continue volunteering there, and receive love and support from that community. Make sure you check out all the herbals and local jewelry, too!

Had my first yoga class in their studio with an amazing yoga instructor named Holly. She was very calm, relaxing, and smoothly brought the class through a gentle opening heart routine. If there were more advanced variations of a position she did great at walking the students through those while reassuring the beginners in the class it was okay to honor where you were within the practice and to listen to the body. I felt very in-tune with my body after her class and looking forward to many more. The store front part of Arcana is warm, inviting, and has lots of charm. They offer a wise spread of crystals, herbs, books, and other holistic health goods. The prices were comparable and the staff was friendly and able to answer any questions. Arcana also offers other services such as massages, acupuncture and psychic readings.

Arcana is a beautiful little shop downtown Portland that offers beautiful crystals, jewelry, essential oils, and great gifts. They also offer reiki, massage, yoga, readings, and other services. I make a stop in here every year for the holidays and my mom has loved every gift I’ve gotten her here. I just stopped in the other day to buy the matching necklace to a pair of earrings I bought her last Christmas. The prices are very fair for such beautiful jewelry! Last Christmas they had adorable tiny gold pinecone necklaces, but I didn’t see them this year. I’ve still got my fingers crossed that she will make some more int he future! If you’re looking for a present for a friend or even yourself, stop by! Everyone is always extremely friendly and helpful, too.

Arcana is a store full of alternative healing therapies, local jewelry, art work, and various rooms for massages, tarot card readings, astrology, aura readings, etc. This is a store for someone else to review because most of this stuff really doesn’t resonate with me. But the woman working at Arcana was very pleasant, the store was bright and attractive, and I wanted to see the place listed because some people are into this. Besides the water colors were beautiful scenes that had UFOs floating in the air. I thought that was cool.Check it out and see what you think.

I had a reading with their resident clairvoyant that left me less than satisfied. I spent an hour sitting in a room with a woman I feel certain is a total fraud, whipping her hands in the air as if turning the pages of a book, as she explained the law of attraction to me (yeah, I watched that Oprah episode too, honey) and made reading recommendations – all for the low, low price of $100+. I’m embarrassed that I booked the appointment. When I listened to my recording of my session, I was just appalled that someone actually charges for this. What a joke. I do want to frame my review: this is a beautiful space, has a charming shop and the woman that greeted me when I arrived was exceptionally warm and considerate. My review is specifically of the practitioner that I saw, who I could not recommend under any circumstances.
